  • When experiencing a panic attack, it is important to know how to recognize and repeat that it is only a momentary situation and will pass soon. This will help you calm down and understand that the fear is due to a specific situation that will not lead to you or to death or serious injury.
  • It is good to try to distract yourself by concentrating on something external, for example by keeping your eyes fixed on some distant object or reading a sign. This will also help you keep your balance.
  • Learn to control your breathing: Breathe deeply and quietly, following a rhythm that forces you to remain as relaxed as possible.
  • Do not consume substances that excite the nervous system, such as caffeine and nicotine.
